About the Opportunity
You’ll be part of a high?performing operations team responsible for the safe and efficient running of the Eastern Treatment Plant. Through structured training, mentoring and nationally recognised qualifications, you’ll develop the skills to operate complex treatment processes and become a fully competent Treatment Plant Operator.
 
  • Monitoring and operating treatment processes using SCADA systems
  • Conducting routine inspections of pumps, motors and chemical systems
  • Supporting preventative and corrective maintenance activities
  • Assisting with isolations, permits and contractor coordination
  • Completing water quality sampling and reporting
  • Participating in safety audits and improvement initiatives
  • Completing all required training and progressing toward operator authorisation
  • Working rostered shifts and availability as required


Key Selection Criteria
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of:

Essential
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn technical systems
  • Mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Understanding of safe work practices
  • Basic computer and digital literacy
  • Willingness to obtain an electrical connect/disconnect licence
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical check
  • Willingness to undergo a Police Check

Highly regarded
  • Maintenance or plumbing background
  • Mechanical or electrical trade background
