Position Overview

The Store person plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse and supply chain. This position is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of managed stock in line with company procedures and customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities
 
  • Receive, unpack, inspect, and store incoming parts and stock in accordance with company procedures.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch parts and stock accurately and on time.
  • Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks or other manual handling equipment as required.
  • Accurate tracking of repaired parts incoming from the workshop to final destination, ready for pick up from the field technicians.
  • Ensure that all repaired parts are collected from workshop and placed onto store shelves in their appropriate sections.
  • Transfer all faulty parts from the store into the workshop, giving priority to parts listed on the Low Parts Report.
  • Owned parts that are Beyond Economical Repair (BER) received into the store must be clearly labelled “BER” for the client and the client is to be advised.
 
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Our CMS.
  • Compile a daily and accurate Low Parts Report based on Our CMS and stocktake levels and provide accurate reporting on stock levels and consumables parts lists.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
  • Report damaged or missing stock and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Liaise with suppliers, couriers, and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and logistics.
  • Maintain effective communication and deliver exceptional customer service to both external clients and internal stakeholders.
  • All other tasks as required.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of:

  • Identify, rectify and report any hazards, accidents or injuries immediately, in line with Company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and assist employees, consultants and subcontractors in the application of Company Policies and Procedures.

  • Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided, and report any defective or damaged PPE or equipment, in line with Company procedures.
  • Comply with any lawful instructions given by a supervisor or person of authority and respect all Company property.
  • Do not engage in any duties that require a certificate or written authorisation unless the relevant certificate or permit is held.
  • Do not attempt any task unless you are trained, capable and competent, or under training supervision to safely perform the task.
  • Promote and be receptive to ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Perform functions in an environmentally sustainable manner.

Position Requirements
 
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or Store person role.
  • Familiarity with warehouse systems, inventory management, or basic computer skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Works effectively under pressure to meet customer deadlines and service targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Inclusive with a respect for diversity and equality.
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across all levels.
  • Physically fit and able to lift/move items in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance.
  • Background in technology services industry, desirable.
  • Valid forklift licence, highly desirable.


Physical Task Capabilities
 
  • Standing / walking for extended periods
  • Walking up and down stairs
  • Lifting from floor to waist height <20kg
  • Lifting above shoulder height <20kg
  • Pushing / Pulling loads more than 20kg (using pallet jack or mechanical aides)
