Position Description Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer supports the planning, design and delivery of a range of initiatives focused on gender equity, disability, neurodiversity, accessibility, inclusive workplace practice and culture, LGBTQIA+ recognition and support, cultural diversity and anti-racism, and workplace flexibility. This role will also provide support on reconciliation initiatives with a focus on First Peoples recruitment and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support the development and delivery of diversity equity and inclusion events through event planning, stakeholder engagement and communications
Managing scheduling, logistics and program materials for workshops and activities
Build positive, respectful relationships with employees and key stakeholders to create welcoming and inclusive spaces
Represent YVW in working groups and networks as required
Design and deliver in collaboration with other staff or guest facilitators, activities, agendas and employee network meetings
Provide support to action and complete endorsed workplace submissions such as the Gender Equality Action Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan and future plans including but not limited to disability
Co-ordinate contributions to reviews of relevant policy, procedures and audits to ensure alignment with YVW’s commitment to and enactment of diversity, equity and inclusion principles • Act as secretariat to employee reference groups and select networks and maintain up to date membership and planning of meeting frequency and content requirements
Triage relevant inquiries and support continuous learning and access to information. Support team members to ensure team performance goals are met. Provide education, advice and assistance regarding any actual, speculated or alleged breaches of regulation
Key Selection Criteria The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of:
Experience in developing and delivering employee or client engagement programs and initiatives.
Tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or another field
Experience in working in and influencing cross-functional teams.
A sound knowledge/lived experience of First Peoples culture.
Proficient skills in time management, attention to detail and task management.
Proficient digital skills using Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and Teams.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to get along with others, listen, have empathy and develop productive working relationships.
