About the Organisation
Our client is an ASX-listed, equal opportunity business that develops and operates Australia's essential services networks across the telecommunications, utilities, transport, defence and social infrastructure industries, keeping communities connected.
The organisation is launching new roles in its Transport division to support two new long-term Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) maintenance contracts awarded by the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning (DTP). The Victoria West ITS Maintenance Contract (VIMC) covers more than 4,500 ITS assets across 27 Local Government Areas, spanning around a third of metropolitan Melbourne and extending west to the South Australian border. The Motorway Communications Network Contract connects more than 2,000 roadside devices, including lane use management signs, variable speed limit signs, freeway ramp signals, CCTV and sensor technologies, while also connecting private road operators with Victoria's transport control system.

About the Role
As the Asset Data & Insights Coordinator, you will coordinate VIMC asset data governance, quality and reporting so that asset, fault, inspection and works information is complete, accurate and usable for operational decisions, contract reporting and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain asset data standards, definitions, ownership, validation controls and change processes across the VIMC asset register and connected systems
  • Reconcile inherited, migrated and newly collected data, and coordinate the resolution of gaps, duplicates and inconsistencies
  • Develop recurring reports, dashboards and analysis covering asset condition, faults, response performance, inspections, servicing and work delivery
  • Translate data into clear insights for planning, engineering, contract performance and DTP stakeholders
  • Undertake routine checks of data completeness, timeliness and accuracy, maintain issue logs and verify corrective actions
  • Preserve traceability and audit evidence for asset and performance information, including Section 751 data compliance where applicable
  • Support MMIS configuration, DTP system interfaces, mobile field enablement and reporting requirements
  • Document processes, train users and identify opportunities to reduce double handling and improve data capture

About You
  • Experience in asset information, data coordination, reporting or analysis within infrastructure, transport, utilities or maintenance services
  • Experience working with large operational datasets and data quality controls
  • Strong Excel, Power BI or comparable reporting skills
  • Familiarity with asset or works management systems
  • High attention to detail, data governance discipline and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate data issues and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements
  • Qualification in asset management, data analytics, information systems, engineering, business or equivalent experience

What You'll Get
  • Flexibility – hybrid working from the Williamstown office, with all flexibility requests genuinely considered
  • Career development – growth opportunities, internal mobility and access to an online learning system
  • Discounts with hundreds of businesses including Woolworths, Airbnb, The Iconic, JB Hi-Fi, Dan Murphy's, Bupa and Specsavers
  • Access to novated leasing and a share matching program
  • Paid leave – parental, cultural, community service, defence, study, corporate volunteering and purchased leave
  • A workplace culture that values safety, diversity and inclusion, and meaningful recognition

To be successful, you will be a detail-oriented and analytical professional who enjoys turning complex data into clear, practical insights that support essential transport infrastructure.
