Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and reliable Garden Maintenance Worker to join our team servicing sites across Metropolitan Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general garden and grounds maintenance across multiple sites
Lawn mowing, edging and whipper snipping
Pruning, trimming and hedging of shrubs, trees and plants
Weeding, mulching and planting of garden beds
Rubbish removal and general site clean-up
Identify and report plant health issues, pests and diseases
Operate and maintain gardening equipment and machinery safely
Assist with irrigation maintenance and basic repairs
Apply fertilisers, soil conditioners and mulches as required
Maintain a high standard of presentation across client sites
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
Complete required documentation and report maintenance issues to supervisors
Work independently and as part of a team to meet scheduled maintenance requirements
About You
Previous garden maintenance, landscaping or horticulture experience is preferred
Genuine interest in gardening, outdoor work and landscape presentation
Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop skills
Safety-focused approach to all work activities
Essential Requirements
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Ability to travel to sites across Metropolitan Melbourne
Ability to pass a National Police Check
Full working rights in Australia
Ability to operate gardening equipment safely
Desirable (but not Essential)
Certificate II or III in Horticulture, Landscaping or similar
Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or property maintenance
Chemical handling accreditation (ACDC)
First Aid Certificate
Truck or trailer towing experience
