About the Role We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join a high-performing maintenance team responsible for maintaining and upgrading electrical and control systems associated with water and wastewater infrastructure. This role involves planned, reactive and corrective maintenance activities, fault finding, commissioning, upgrades and technical support across a range of critical assets. You will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the reliable operation of water and wastewater systems.
Responsibilities
Perform planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
Diagnose and rectify electrical and control system faults.
Install, upgrade and commission electrical equipment and assets.
Maintain instrumentation, telemetry and control systems.
Respond to operational alarms and breakdowns.
Carry out testing, inspections and repairs on electrical infrastructure.
Complete required safety, quality and maintenance documentation.
Provide technical support to operational teams and engineers.
Prepare equipment scopes, estimates and recommendations.
Submit Certificates of Electrical Safety where required.
Utilise digital maintenance management systems to manage work activities.
Participate in after-hours maintenance support when required.
Follow all workplace health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
About You You are a trade-qualified Electrician with strong fault-finding capabilities and experience working on industrial electrical systems. You enjoy problem-solving, working in the field and contributing to the delivery of essential infrastructure services. You are safety-focused, reliable and able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders.
