Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the formation; documentation and estimation of work methodology pertaining to the maintenance or construction of road infrastructure with an expertise in bridge construction and/or maintenance. Additionally, the position will be called upon from time to time to oversee site maintenance activities and oversee new and upgrade works.


Key Responsibilities
 
  • Oversee the development of plans laying out maintenance and new works methodology of specific maintenance works, tactical or special projects

  • Assist in the preparation of full and complete works estimates
  • Undertake the preparation of business tender documents and ensure they are undertaken in a way that protects company interests
  • Review, create and implement strategies that increase the efficiencies of maintenance and field works and project delivery.   
  • Be involved in the development and implementation of bid strategies





 
  • Contribute toward the continuous improvement of all aspects of our business systems, policies and procedures 
  • Oversee site works involving maintenance and field works and project delivery.
  • Overview all contract activities to ensure the required project/operational objectives are met and implement correction is needed
  • Overview the management of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure works are correctly executed in accordance with agreed specifications, terms, conditions and budget
  • Track project progress and forecasts, prepare monthly reports on cost, time, safety, and environmental performance, and promptly report any significant changes.
  • Manage the performance of all staff including establishment of clear responsibilities and authorities.

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical) or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated strong business development & project management experience.
  • Experience in planning and delivering maintenance works, field projects, and tactical initiatives.
  • Experience with prepping accurate cost estimates, tender documentation, and bid strategies that safeguard company interests.
  • Expertise in driving efficiency improvements across maintenance, field operations, and project delivery.
  • Solid track record in managing contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Leadership skills to manage team performance, set clear responsibilities, and ensure operational objectives are achieved
