Role We are looking for talented, motivated and driven individuals to join the team who will be committed to delivering projects safely and meeting specification requirements, and customer-focused whilst also establishing a positive legacy for our customers and community. We have an exciting opportunity for a supervisor to join our business. The Supervisor will lead, support, construction delivery of projects. The role will also oversee the delivery is carried safely and meet specifications and without incidents and promote productivity where feasible.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all technical, program, quality, environmental, community, industrial, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained on site.
Assist in the management of maintenance and construction projects in accordance with standards and Risk Management Process.
Conduct toolbox meetings, communicate policies, procedures and practices to work teams
Provide leadership to ensure the highest standard of safety is always maintained for all individuals.
Ensure all safety processes and procedures are adhered to by all staff and contractors.
Coordinate all activities across the contract, including scheduling and programming of works
Responsible for ensuring that everyone that undertakes work on the contract has the correct training and has valid licences.
Participate in formal and contractual meetings with the client and other relevant parties
Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders
Coordinate all activities across the contract, including scheduling and programming of works
Supporting the contract management system to ensure all maintenance or project activities are completed
Ensure all KPI’s and contract performance requirements are met
Assist in the development and review of SWMS
Assist in business development activities as required
Ensure all required management systems documentation adherence
Undertake reviews of reports submitted and raise any items in the management system
Promote open and transparent communication as appropriate to encourage understanding of all stakeholder requirements and drivers.
Lead by example and take accountability for own actions.
Key Selection Criteria
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of:
Preference for a recognised tertiary qualification (Engineering or Construction Telecommunications Management), or a high level of demonstrated relevant experience
Current driver’s license
Minimum of 5 year’s experience in a road infrastructure environment
Minimum of 5 year’s experience in managing people and/or multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated significant number of years’ experience in construction or services industry and safety management in a major subcontractor management role
Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Project/ Excel/ Outlook)
Knowledge of asset management and asset management systems (desirable)
